Three Fort Worth Teens on James Turrell's Skyspace at Keith House
In Fort Worth, Texas, beside the Trinity River, Keith House serves as a Quaker-style venue showcasing James Turrell's permanent installation, "Come to Good." Visitors experience nearly an hour of transformative light within the space. Three teenagers frequently attend: Beckett Potter, 15, a mechanical engineering student at Southern Methodist University, began volunteering after connecting with former Program Director Michael Moore; Ian Rall, 17, a junior at Southwest Christian School, took on the role of groundskeeper after being hired by former Director Janelle Montgomery; and Mel Garsek, a junior at Paschal High School, found the venue while participating in a charity event. Public viewings of "Come to Good" occur at both sunrise and sunset, encouraging a sense of stillness.
