Three Australian Arts Institutions Announce New Leadership Appointments
Phillippa Martin Reiter has been appointed as the inaugural Director of Programming and Events at Sydney's City Recital Hall, bringing 25 years of international live entertainment experience. She previously served as Head of Programming Operations at Sydney Opera House. CEO Kate Wickett stated the role aims to increase hall utilization, noting the venue hosted events for 198 days in 2024-25. In Darwin, John Glenn becomes CEO of the AANT Centre, bringing over two decades of senior leadership including roles at Queensland Performing Arts Centre and Adelaide Festival Centre. He will commence in June 2026. Melbourne's Chunky Move contemporary dance company appointed Suzanne Daley as Executive Director, joining Artistic Director Antony Hamilton in June. The company also named Tam Nguyen as Artistic Associate and welcomed Luke Currie-Richardson to its Board. Daley previously held leadership positions at Arts Centre Melbourne and Performing Lines.
