Thomas Dane Gallery Profile: Two Decades of Representing Steve McQueen, Cecily Brown, and Dana Schutz

Established in 2004 by Thomas Dane alongside François Chantala and Martine d’Anglejan-Chatillon, Thomas Dane Gallery is located at two sites in St James’s, London: a historic 18th-century building at 11 Duke Street and a contemporary ground-floor venue at 3 Duke Street, which opened in 2011. The gallery extended its reach to Naples in 2018 and represents approximately forty artists and estates, including Steve McQueen, Paul Pfeiffer, and Cecily Brown. Recent exhibitions feature Dana Schutz’s works in late 2025, Magdalene Odundo’s ceramics in 2024, Igshaan Adams’ creations in 2023, and Amie Siegel’s film ‘Bloodlines’ in 2022. As of July 2026, Prunella Clough’s works are currently displayed at No. 11, while Caragh Thuring’s ‘Dutch Angle’ is on view at No. 3 until September. The gallery showcases a balanced mix of media with conceptual depth.
