Thilo Jahn to Debut as New 'ttt' Moderator on Sunday

Thilo Jahn, a 44-year-old journalist, will make his debut as a moderator of the ARD culture magazine 'ttt - titel, thesen, temperamente' on Sunday, August 30. He joins the team led by main moderator Siham El-Maimouni and will present about a third of the episodes. His first show will air late Sunday evening. Jahn's appointment follows a controversy surrounding the failed hiring of Thilo Mischke, who was originally slated to become co-moderator in February but faced allegations of sexism linked to his 2010 book 'In 80 Frauen um die Welt', prompting the ARD to withdraw the offer. Jahn brings extensive experience from public broadcasting, having hosted the WDR culture magazine 'Westart', the WDR2 'Mittagsmagazin', and programs on Deutschlandfunk Nova. His work has been recognized with the Grimme Prize and the German Radio Prize. The MDR, which is responsible for the show, praised Jahn for combining journalistic depth with the ability to tell cultural stories that reach audiences beyond traditional formats.
