The theatrical performance 'Tout contre la terre' presents a bittersweet comedy examining the lives of agricultural workers who produce our food. Based on Camille Baurain's autobiographical book 'Tu m’as laissée en vie,' co-authored with Antoine Jandey, the production was written and directed by Rémi Couturier and Marie Benati. The narrative follows Camille, a fifteen-year-old girl who falls in love with farmer Augustin despite their age difference and her mother's disapproval. Their relationship develops amidst the realities of farm life, including operating combine harvesters and caring for livestock. The couple faces mounting challenges as commodity prices decline, global conflicts affect markets, health emergencies arise, and debts accumulate, threatening their livelihood. On stage, Charlotte Bigeard portrays Camille while Thibaut Pommier plays Augustin, with Rémi Couturier appearing as Augustin's brother. Merryl Beaudonnet and Charlie Fargialla complete the ensemble, with Beaudonnet taking on multiple roles.
