The Falcon: Dalcore's Vertical Village in Gurugram by Philippe Starck and UHA

The Falcon, an ultra-luxury residential development in Gurugram, India, is the flagship project of Dalcore, a developer backed by Shreeram Group from Gujarat. Designed in collaboration with Philippe Starck's YOO and London-based UHA, the tower is located in Sector 53 and comprises 96 residences, including 3 and 4 BHK homes and penthouses. The design, led by UHA founder Jonas Upton Hansen, draws inspiration from tech product designs and science fiction, resulting in a curvilinear, pod-like silhouette. The tower is oriented north-south to optimize natural ventilation and shading, with each apartment opening on three sides. Starck and YOO introduced the concept of a 'vertical village' to foster community interaction, with amenities and common spaces designed to encourage chance encounters. The interiors are offered in two styles: classic, with warm woods and leather, and minimal, with clean lines and neutral tones. The project aims for LEED certification and prioritizes longevity and timelessness. Starck noted the design's focus on facilitating communication among residents, creating a sense of family and community.
