The Dean Berlin hotel opens with Rachael Gowdridge's design and local art curation

The Dean Berlin hotel has opened in Charlottenburg, featuring interiors by British designer Rachael Gowdridge. Located at Uhlandstr. 49, 10719 Berlin, Germany, the 81-room property occupies a late-19th-century building. Gowdridge's design incorporates original architectural details with bold colors and sculptural lighting. The hotel includes an art curation titled Wanderers by Thom Oosterhof, featuring works from local artists and galleries. On-site restaurant Benedict serves breakfast classics from morning through evening. The Dean Group operates this as its first German lifestyle hotel, with a Munich location planned. The hotel offers bicycles for hire and is near Kurfürstendamm shopping street, Zoo Palast cinema, C/O Berlin photography gallery, and the Helmut Newton Foundation. Gowdridge previously worked at Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and Ennismore International before founding her own studio in 2021.
