The Beatles Story to quadruple in size with 2028 move to St John's Market in Liverpool
In 2028, The Beatles Story, Liverpool's museum dedicated to the iconic band, will move to the old St John's covered market, increasing its space to over 9,000 m². The ownership will shift from Merseytravel to Apple Corps. Currently, the museum draws nearly 300,000 visitors each year and has earned accolades from VisitEngland. While financial details remain confidential, the initiative has received backing from the government. Apple Corps intends to create a chronological display of the band's journey, from their childhood in Liverpool to the 1969 rooftop concert. Additionally, the St Johns Beacon tower will host exhibitions for Yellow Submarine. Mayor Steve Rotheram highlighted the positive impact on the local economy, with a portion of ticket sales benefiting the Apple Corps Liverpool Trust for up-and-coming musicians.
