Thailand Biennale Phuket 2025 Showcases 65 Artists Across 20 Venues with Historical and Ecological Themes
The Thailand Biennale Phuket 2025, titled 'Eternal [Kalpas]', opened with a performance by Oat Montien's Mademoiselle MIMOSA. The fourth edition features 65 artists across 20 venues and 13 independent pavilions, organized by the Thailand Office of Contemporary Art and Culture and Phuket's provincial government. Artistic directors Arin Rungjang and David Teh, along with curators Hera Chan and Marisa Phandharakrajadej, programmed over 50 new commissions. Key works include Ayoung Kim's 'A Shade for Surisol Underwater Lab', Wu Chi-Yu's 'Stories of Celluloid', Ryuichi Sakamoto's 'IS YOUR TIME', and Oat Montien's 'PEARL BOY'. The biennale runs from 29 November 2025 to 30 April 2026.
