Terri Phillips Featured as Artist of the Week at Palmer Museum

Terri Phillips was highlighted as Artist of the Week at the Palmer Museum on June 19, 2020. The presentation included four plein air paintings depicting landmarks from Wasilla, Alaska, such as a red caboose in a city park, Newcomb Park at Wasilla Lake, and an old boat on Knik Road. Phillips, who has been painting for over four decades, works primarily with oils and acrylics and focuses on making original art accessible. The feature included an interview discussing her artistic journey, which began in Hawaii through a trade of piano lessons for painting instruction, and her involvement with the Valley Fine Arts Association. Her work was also scheduled for display at Burger Jim's in July 2020.
