Tereza Bettinardi Designs TDC 43rd Annual with Expanded Counterforms

publication · 2026-10-20

The 43rd Annual of the Type Directors Club has been beautifully designed by Tereza Bettinardi Studio and is available as a hardcover. This new project follows Bettinardi's work on the 68th competition published in 2022, known as The World's Best Typography by Verlag Hermann Schmidt. Collaborating with Gabriela Gennari and Lucas D’Ascenção, Bettinardi's design features unique counterforms. The striking cover combines fluorescent pink boards with metallic silver foil and matte black geometric patterns. Inside, you'll find vibrant electric pink pages matched with matte black endpapers. The book was designed in InDesign and printed in Cracow, Poland. The Type Directors Club has been running this competition since 1955, highlighting prominent designers like Paula Scher and Chip Kidd.
