Teen Vogue and Wattpad Books Launch Astrology Romance Series at McNally Jackson
Teen Vogue marked the debut of its first original romance fiction series, I Saw The Signs, with an astrology-themed party at downtown bookstore McNally Jackson. The project is a partnership with Wattpad Books, and its opening installment arrived earlier the same day. Under The Northern Stars by Tay Marley leads the series; Teen Vogue creative editorial director Mi-Anne Chan described it as a spicy romance pairing a science-obsessed nerdy girl with her boy-next-door neighbor, a teen bronco-riding champion. Two further titles, Read To Me by Ariana Godoy and Star-Crossed Rivals by Anna Todd and E.M. Wilson, are scheduled for early 2027, each applying astrology as a lens on relationships. Chan framed the venture as a natural next step for the publication, citing its prior coverage of youth-culture fanbases, and said fan fiction offers world-building and a route for audiences to find their niche. Stories will roll out as serialized drops so readers can digest and collectively speculate. Wattpad head of content Alessandra Ferreri called fan fiction a participatory culture where people connect over what they love. Guests dressed to their zodiac signs — cow print mules for a Taurus, a crochet fishnet top for a Pisces — and listed sun, moon and rising signs on name tags. Resident astrologer Lisa Stardust gave personal readings and planetary forecasts, warning against impulsivity during Venus retrograde and advising guests to enjoy Halloween but not text an ex.
