Tate Unveils 2027 Exhibition Schedule Featuring Hockney at 90 and Major Historical Surveys

Tate has revealed its exhibition program for 2027, featuring a dual celebration of David Hockney's 90th birthday with a multimedia installation at Tate Modern's Turbine Hall in summer and a comprehensive retrospective at Tate Britain opening in October. The institution will present significant historical surveys including dedicated exhibitions for Gainsborough (marking his 300th anniversary), Monet, and Munch. Institutional leadership is transitioning with Maria Balshaw departing after nine years and Karin Hindsbo serving as Interim Director.
