Tamarind Institute Launches One-Week Lithography Workshops for 2027

In response to the growing need for shorter training sessions, Tamarind Institute is enhancing its educational programs by introducing one-week workshops tailored for artists, educators, curators, and printmakers. According to Director Diana Gaston, there is a demand for intensive, hands-on training without the lengthy commitment of a month. These workshops are designed to bolster the printmaking community by educating master printers, teachers, and community leaders. Brandon Gunn highlighted the significance of lithography knowledge for a thriving print community. Each session will accommodate eight to ten participants to provide personalized guidance. The 2027 schedule features the Curators Workshop (January 11-15), Tusche Wash on Stone (February 1-5), Photoplate Workshop (March 1-5), and Aluminum Plate Lithography Workshop (May 3-7).
