Taliesyn Designs Weekend Retreat with Concrete Columns in Bengaluru

Indian architecture studio Taliesyn has completed House by the Grove, a weekend residence near Bengaluru. The 5,433-square-foot home, designed for a family of three, features an L-shaped layout around existing trees and boulders. Its design emphasizes connection to nature with open living spaces, sliding glass walls, and concrete colonnades supporting steeply pitched tiled roofs. Principal designer Shalini Chandrashekar stated the project responds to urban sprawl by creating a place for reflection. The home includes a double-height central space, bedrooms, a library, and a guest annexe, using materials like cement, Tandur stone, and ashwood.
