Tai Kwun summer show celebrates Hong Kong cinema's team spirit
The summer exhibition 'Better Together – Partnering Up for Hong Kong Movies' at Tai Kwun in 2026 will honor 60 years of Hong Kong cinema, emphasizing the spirit of collaboration known as 'paak zyu soeng' (team spirit). Running from 23 June to 4 October at Duplex Studio, the exhibition is curated by film director Sunny Chan Wing San, who previously co-curated last summer's 'Undercover Underworld'. In partnership with the Federation of Hong Kong Filmmakers, the show includes immersive re-creations of scenes from iconic 'partner' films. It showcases the strong camaraderie both on and off the set, highlighting how the collective resilience of Hong Kong has shaped its film industry.
