Tahnee Lonsdale's 'Walk With Us Into The Forest' opens at Alexander Berggruen with spiritual ecosystem paintings

Alexander Berggruen gallery debuts its inaugural solo exhibition with British artist Tahnee Lonsdale. Titled 'Walk With Us Into The Forest,' the show presents abstracted feminine beings that form a spiritual ecosystem. These interconnected, sentient figures watch over fragile human acolytes while evoking forms from cells and atoms to trees, planets, and constellations. Lonsdale's paintings feature painted, frame-like borders reminiscent of historical scrolls and papyrus formats. These edges create boundaries for worlds not confined by canvas limits. Within these borders, open spaces pulse with colors and textures that echo through the figures, giving them a ghostly translucency. The artist describes these beings as alive, possibly serving as guardians that inspire wonder in nature. A public walk-through with Lonsdale is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026. Her clustered figures reference sacred geometry while maintaining an ethereal quality throughout the exhibition.
