Synchronicity Theatre Forced to Leave Atlanta Venue After 12 Years, Seeks New Permanent Home

Synchronicity Theatre is required to leave its Peachtree Pointe site in Midtown Atlanta after the landlord chose not to extend the lease. Having been based at this location for 12 years, the professional theater company is now in search of a new permanent venue that reflects its artistic goals and community connections. Producing artistic director Rachel May stated that all existing programming will proceed as planned, including the spring Stripped Bare arts incubator performances. The world premiere of Catherine Yu's play, In Spite of My Ambivalence, will take place in June, representing the last production at the current venue. The theater's board and staff are working with community partners and civic leaders to find a new location. They have initiated an Artful Future capital campaign and are inviting real estate suggestions from the public, with inquiries directed to May or managing director Celise Kalke. Established over 20 years ago, Synchronicity Theatre is dedicated to showcasing bold performances that elevate women's voices and promote community involvement through mainstage shows, educational initiatives, and outreach programs. Off-site education and outreach efforts will continue unaffected by the move.
