Sydney Theatre Company Unveils 2027 Season with Dorian Gray Return and Four World Premieres
The Sydney Theatre Company (STC) has revealed its lineup for the 2027 season, which comprises 13 productions: four world premieres and six Australian premieres, along with Kip Williams' rendition of The Picture of Dorian Gray featuring Nikki Shiels. This adaptation, first introduced in 2020, is making a return to Sydney following its performances in the West End and on Broadway. STC's Artistic Director, Mitchell Butel, highlighted the importance of financial sustainability and the intention to steer clear of loss-leading productions. The world premieres include The Palace Letters, Amah and Nanna, The Bookbinder of Jericho, and Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries: Death by Deckchair.
