Suki+Partners Creates Interactive Fabric Installation for Wedding in Yangzhou

The design studio Suki+Partners has realized an interactive outdoor installation titled 'Playground' for a wedding celebration at the Canal Sanwan Hotel in Yangzhou, China. Spanning a 2,640-square-meter lawn, the temporary structure uses large red balloons to lift pale pink fabric, creating a three-dimensional landscape. The elevated cloth serves as a platform for ceremonies and gatherings, while the shaded area beneath provides seating and cooling systems. Designed with minimal intervention, the lightweight installation responds to wind and natural forces, transforming the flat site into a dynamic environment for the single-day event. The project reimagines the lawn as a flexible space for interaction and shared experience.
