Su Hui-Yu's Performance-Film 'A Total Story' Premieres in Bogotá, Travels to Taipei

Taiwanese artist Su Hui-Yu premiered his performance-film 'A Total Story' at the Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá on January 24, 2025-2026, as part of his exhibition 'La Saga Total.' The work, filmed within the museum, connects Colombian and Taiwanese histories through narratives performed by queer and trans individuals. The film will have its major debut at MOCA Taipei on April 12, 2026. The exhibition also included other series such as 'The Trio Hall,' 'The Space Warriors and the Digigrave,' 'The Women’s Revenge,' 'The Walker,' and 'Life, Pleasure, and the Reading Room.' The project involved a trans-awareness workshop for museum staff and collaborators including Matilda González Gil, Eugenio Viola, and Juaniko Moreno, facilitated by J Triangular. Su Hui-Yu's practice centers on performance and 're-shooting' to reappropriate historical narratives, emphasizing marginalized voices.
