Studioninedots Designs Light House in Amsterdam as Vertical Landscape of Light

The architectural firm Studioninedots has completed Light House, a residential project in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, in 2025. Designed for a family of four who have long resided in the city, the structure reinterprets domestic living through a vertical arrangement of stacked volumes that emphasize natural illumination and ventilation. The clients requested a dwelling focused on familial bonds and environmental integration, granting the architects significant creative freedom. The 257-square-meter building features contributions from multiple specialists including structural engineers De Ingenieursgroep BV and Romijn Bouw, with lighting consultancy by Clemens Lichtadvies. Materials from manufacturers Bouwmag and Seves Glassblock were incorporated. The design team included Metin van Zijl, Albert Herder, Vincent van der Klei, Wouter Hermanns, Ania Bozek, and Dennis Roest, with curation by Hadir Al Koshta. Photographic documentation was handled by Sebastian van Damme.
