Studio Profile Designs CARNIVAL's Cultural Village in One Bangkok
Studio Profile, led by Baoer Wang and Josh Ren, has designed a 1,031 square meter retail interior for the Bangkok-based streetwear brand CARNIVAL, located in the Pathum Wan district of Bangkok, Thailand. The project, titled 'Housing CARNIVAL', is set for completion in 2026 and is part of the One Bangkok development, a new urban destination in the city's heart. The design concept envisions a 'cultural village' where street culture, community, and collective experiences converge, reflecting CARNIVAL's evolution from a local streetwear leader into a platform connecting youth subcultures and urban lifestyles. The interior, curated by Han Shuang, aims to integrate the vibrancy of Bangkok's street markets, temples, and contemporary architecture into a cohesive retail space. The design team includes Jiaxin Zhang and Joshua Inn, with photography by Wen Studio, Kan Kankavee, Natthapol Sakultem, and Borwornsun Premprik. The project underscores the growing trend of retail spaces as cultural hubs, blending commercial function with community engagement.
