Student Alex Bullock Completes Museum Placement During Pandemic, Develops Interactive Map
Alex Bullock participated in a student placement program at Llandudno Museum and Gallery in September 2020 through Coleg Llandrillo. As part of the first group of placement students, she worked under module leader Karen Thomas and collaborated with Dr DeAnn Bell, the museum's Education Officer, and curator Peter Alexander. Bullock assisted fellow student Lucy Sharpe in filming promotional content and contributed to creating an interactive map for the museum's website, designed to help with Welsh place-name pronunciation. The project faced challenges including multiple COVID-19 lockdowns, which required remote work and adaptation. Bullock developed skills in website content development, copyright research, project management, and writing, aligning with her career goal of becoming a journalist.
