Steppenwolf Theater Receives Grant to Revive New Play Development Program

The Steppenwolf Theater in Chicago has secured funding from the Stephen Sondheim Foundation to restart its Scout program, which fosters new works by emerging playwrights. This initiative had been suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over its five-decade history, Steppenwolf has produced more than 130 theatrical works.
