Städtische Sammlungen Cottbus/Chóśebuz Aims to Become Inclusive 'Museums of the Neighborhood'

The Städtische Sammlungen Cottbus/Chóśebuz, comprising the Stadtmuseum, Wendisches Museum/Serbski muzej, and Stadtarchiv, are pursuing a strategic program to establish themselves as open, resilient, and diverse institutions. Their goal is to strengthen networks, attract new audiences, and position the collections as inclusive 'museums of the neighborhood.' These three facilities collectively focus on researching, preserving, and communicating the city's history, regional narratives, natural environments, and the culture and history of the Sorbs/Wenden. The initiative seeks to develop the collections into long-term, accessible cultural hubs.
