Squarespace Hikes Prices Up to 26% for Annual Plans

Squarespace is raising prices by up to 26% for annual subscriptions, effective July 2026. The Basic plan rises from $16 to $19/month (19% increase), Core from $23 to $29/month (26% increase), and Plus from $39 to $49/month (26% increase). Monthly plans see smaller hikes: Core up 8% to $39/month, Plus up 16% to $65/month. The Advanced plan remains $99/month. Users on Reddit and Threads, including photographers Mike Reda, Stephen Broome, and Ryan Neeven, are complaining and seeking alternatives like Format, Smugmug, and Zenfolio. Squarespace went private in October 2024 after Permira acquired it for $7.2 billion.
