In Tokyo, the TOKYO NODE Gallery at Toranomon Hills presents 'Ghost in The Shell: The Exhibition' from January 30 to April 5, 2026, featuring over 1,600 production materials and digital installations tracing the evolution of the influential sci-fi franchise. Kyoto hosts the Kyoto Nippon Festival 2026 from February 1 to May 24 at Kitano Tenmangu Shrine grounds, celebrating its tenth anniversary with site-specific installations and immersive performances blending nature and contemporary art. The Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum in Tokyo presents 'From Kiyochika to Hasui: Ukiyo-e and Shin-Hanga Woodblock Prints' from February 19 to May 24, showcasing approximately 130 works from the Smithsonian's National Museum of Asian Art that demonstrate the reinterpretation of traditional print techniques during Japan's modernization.
