Spoke Art Presents James Chapman's Oscar-Nominated Film Artworks

Spoke Art is collaborating with UK-based artist James Chapman to showcase a collection of artworks depicting the 2024 Best Picture Oscar nominees. The online exhibition launches on February 28th at 10am PT, coinciding with the Academy Awards ceremony. Chapman creates these small-scale pieces using paint markers in sketchbooks, drawing from his background as an illustrator, author, and scientist with a PhD in Nanoscience from the University of Manchester. The collection features eight nominated films including 'Anora,' 'Nickel Boys,' 'Wicked,' 'Conclave,' 'The Substance,' 'Dune: Part 2,' 'The Brutalist,' and 'I'm Still Here.' This presentation highlights the intersection of contemporary illustration and cinematic culture.
