Space Art Exhibition at Espace de l'Art Concret Features Works Created in Zero Gravity
From February 24 to May 3, 2026, Espace de l'Art Concret in Mouans-Sartoux, France, will host an exhibition featuring extraterrestrial art produced during the Observatoire de l'espace residency program. The artworks were crafted in microgravity aboard the Airbus A310 Zero G. Participating artists include Renaud Auguste-Dormeuil, Victoire Thierrée, Stéphane Thidet, Stéphanie Solinas, and Smith, as part of an initiative started by Gérard Azoulay in 2006. Highlighted pieces consist of Thierrée's 'Caillou' (2024), Thidet's video 'Détachement' (2024), and Smith's 3D-printed self-portraits. Previous significant events include Invader's 2015 ISS exhibit and Kac's partnership with astronaut Thomas Pesquet in 2017. Future projects will feature Thidet's 'Oscar' and works by Benoît Pype and Léo Fourdrinier.
