Souraya Noujaim Named Director of Louvre Abu Dhabi
Souraya Noujaim has been appointed the new director of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, taking over from Manuel Rabaté, who left the position earlier this year. The announcement was made by the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi. A specialist in Islamic art and archaeology, Noujaim previously led the Department of Islamic Arts at the Louvre in Paris and managed the French Grand Department of Islamic Art Heritage. Having served as the first director of scientific, curatorial, and collections management at Louvre Abu Dhabi from 2018 to 2023, she aims to further enrich the museum's visitor engagement and legacy.
