Sotheby's and _POLIMENO Launch 'Chez Sotheby's' Apartment Concept During Art Basel Paris

Running through 24 October at 242 Rue de Rivoli, Sotheby's and _POLIMENO have opened Chez Sotheby's, a Parisian apartment conceived as a living environment where art, dining and cultural exchange converge. The project sits between formats — neither a conventional exhibition nor a restaurant — and places Modern, Post-War and Contemporary Art inside a setting built for gathering, discovery and dialogue. The address overlooks the Jardin des Tuileries and is positioned steps from both Art Basel Paris and Sotheby's Paris. Chez Sotheby's draws on a long European tradition in which collecting is tied as much to gathering as to acquiring. Its run is limited to one week, timed to the fair's rhythm, and is pitched as a destination between openings and appointments where connections form and discoveries occur.
