Smithsonian Magazine Showcases 15 Wildlife Photographs from Kenya's Maasai Mara and Beyond

In its latest issue, Smithsonian magazine showcased 15 stunning wildlife photographs from Kenya's savanna and reserves, captured between 2018 and 2025. Among the highlights are Jenny Zhao's 2018 image of a lion in Maasai Mara and Rajiv Bhambri's 2024 shot of a wildebeest at Maasai Mara National Reserve. PF Loke's 2023 photograph features giraffes in Mara Triangle, while Bence Máté documented a white rhino mother and calf in 2024. Yoshiki Nakamura's 2025 image captures flamingos over Lake Natron. Additional contributions include Xiao Zhuo Wen's 2019 zebras, Rene Fajer's 2023 super tuskers, and Zhimin Zhang's 2023 pin-tailed whydah. Amish Chhagan highlighted Solio Game Reserve in 2024, and Graeme Guy photographed a cheetah mother with her cubs that same year. Dan Beckmann's 2023 impala and Matjaz Krivic's 2021 scene of a northern white rhino caretaker were also featured.
