Slade Guitarist Dave Hill Announces Debut Solo Album 'Dirty Foot Lane'
Dave Hill, lead guitarist of Slade, will release his first solo album, 'Dirty Foot Lane', named after a road near his childhood home in Wolverhampton. The 10-track record was produced by Django Holder, son of Hill's bandmate Noddy Holder, and features a blend of rock, blues, and folk. Hill, 80, described the songs as true stories about people close to him, and said the project was encouraged by Noddy Holder. The album also includes a collaboration with American country singer John Berry. Hill cited his upbringing on a council estate and memories of watching Flash Gordon at the cinema as inspirations. He plans to release two more albums in the future.
