Sixth Edition of Artistic Residency Program Announced by FMJJ Art Center, University of A Coruña, and NORMAL

The María José Jove Foundation Art Center, in collaboration with the University of A Coruña and NORMAL Cultural Intervention Space, has launched the call for applications for the sixth edition of its Artistic Residency Program. This initiative supports artistic projects that critically engage with local dynamics, memories, and resonances, aiming to develop conceptual frameworks for contemporary social, cultural, and territorial issues. Two residencies are available, each offering €6,000 for fees, production, and travel, along with individual workspace at NORMAL, accommodation at the University Residence of A Coruña, curatorial support, and a public presentation opportunity. The residencies will last from one to three months during the third quarter of 2026, from September to December. Applications are open from March 27 to June 19, 2026, with results announced in late July 2026. A jury including Juan Canela, Marta Mestre, Susana González, and Cristina Naya will evaluate proposals based on originality, innovation, alignment with program goals, and potential for multidisciplinary collaboration.
