Silvia Margaria and Irene Pittatore Present Sixth Creative Graft in Carla Iacono's 'Il giardino di Yoshimasa'

On March 28, 2026, the sixth artistic 'graft' of 'Il giardino di Yoshimasa' was unveiled at Casa del Sole in Ceranesi, showcasing the talents of artists Silvia Margaria and Irene Pittatore. This initiative, launched by Carla Iacono in 2024 alongside Andrea Castagnaro, serves as a tribute to Iacono's deceased spouse, Guido Geerts. Curated by Livia Savorelli, the residency promotes a non-hierarchical approach centered on the concept of gift-giving. Margaria's piece, 'Go / No-Go (Garden Test),' featured photographic film rolls developing in the garden, while Pittatore's 'Herbaria frigida (haec ornamenta mea)' displayed ice sculptures adorned with plants. The event also included readings by Lorenzo Grossi and incorporated Iacono's 2005 work 'Magic Garden,' drawing from various literary influences and aiding Pittatore's collaborative research.
