Shygirl Announces Second Album Swallow!, Out November 6, 2026

publication · 2026-09-10

Shygirl's upcoming second studio album, titled Swallow!, is set to launch on November 6, 2026. The creation of this album began in late 2023, coinciding with her 30th birthday and a newfound romance, and she dedicated over two years to its development. Following her debut album Nymph from 2022 and the club-centric Club Shy, this release celebrates the fifth anniversary of ALIAS. Musically, it incorporates strings and traditional instruments while maintaining her signature electronic experimentation. In a conversation with Lucie Rittau for Sleek Magazine, Shygirl expressed that her goal was to convey her happiness. She characterized the album as her most personal and emotionally charged work, emphasizing themes of desire and tumult. Taking her time allowed her to reflect and make a statement about her artistry, influenced by experiences from the SWEAT Tour. Collaborating with her partner, she wrote a short film for Alyse, intentionally placing herself in a supporting role, as she believes the album transcends her individual identity. She views love as a platform for activism, asserting that her life, discussions, and art embody this activism. If she had to define the album's genre, it would be love-centric.
