Shinsegae Department Store Launches Spring Campaign with Floral Graphics and Installations

Shinsegae Department Store has launched its annual spring campaign titled 'Blooming Playlist,' developed in collaboration with Moonwalker Studio for the second year. The initiative transforms retail spaces across 13 shopping malls in South Korea through integrated design elements. Central to the visual identity is Shinsegae's S-check pattern, which has been reimagined with cherry blossom imagery to create a contrast between structured geometry and organic floral forms. This graphic system is applied through large-scale environmental graphics, suspended floral installations, and coordinated interior elements that extend the concept into three-dimensional spaces. The campaign also incorporates live performances staged within retail environments, adding a temporal dimension to the spatial design. Seasonal food offerings under the 'Blooming Flavor' concept further expand the experience into a multi-sensory framework. A color palette derived from spring tones is consistently used across all applications, maintaining brand continuity while referencing seasonal renewal. Creative direction was led by Jeewon Baek, with senior art direction by Mina Jee and design contributions from Eunbyeol Yong and Jihye Seong. Flora and fauna artistry was provided by Vy Vo and Dany Vo, with artist management by Hannah Stouffer. The project represents a comprehensive design strategy that coordinates graphic design, spatial interventions, live events, and product offerings to create a unified experience across multiple retail locations.
