architecture-design · 2026-04-08

Shanghai ZF Architectural Design has completed the renovation of Dishui Lake Subway Station in 2024, a project led by architect Gong Gefei. Located in the Central Activity Zone of Dishui Lake, the 79,300-square-meter development integrates a transportation hub with landscape greening to form an elevated platform. This design aims to stimulate urban vitality by connecting with underground commercial areas and the surrounding cityscape, providing new public spaces. The renovation involved optimizing the station hub, improving road networks, relocating ground facilities, and adding supporting services. Three key strategies guided the work: enhancing ground facilities, organizing three-dimensional traffic, and activating the site through business activities. The project was curated by Han Shuang, with photography by Li Wei, and involved a design team including Yu Jing, Wang Jianjian, and Zhao Weiming. Clients included Shanghai Xinggang Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., and manufacturers such as FPR, Membrane Structure, and Resin contributed products.
