Sélim Nassib and Léna Merhej release second volume of 'Le Génie de Beyrouth'

Sélim Nassib and Léna Merhej have published the second volume of their graphic novel series 'Le Génie de Beyrouth', titled 'La fille tombée du ciel'. The book is set in 1982, a dark year of the Lebanese Civil War marked by massacres in Palestinian camps and the departure of the Palestine Liberation Organization (OLP) from Beirut to Tunis. The story follows Youssef, a young reporter arriving in the besieged capital. Nassib's narrative depicts a city vibrant with life despite the ongoing tragedy, complemented by Merhej's delicate drawings. The work uses humor and eroticism to confront death. Published by Dargaud, the volume continues the series that began with an earlier installment.
