Sean Anderson, principal of his eponymous Memphis-based design firm, has released his debut monograph, 'Interior Narratives,' which takes readers through nine full interiors, mostly Southern. Anderson's design philosophy, rooted in his childhood explorations of his family's 60-acre property in rural Mississippi, finds beauty in the worn and collected. His signature style combines a clean architectural base with antiques and personal history, creating spaces that feel modern yet lived-in. The book highlights the tension between past and present, always with a modern point of view. Anderson founded his firm in 2013 and has since worked across North America. Currently, he is embarking on a months-long press tour to promote the book. He is also working on a penthouse in Tribeca, expected to be completed in early 2027. Anderson's studio essentials include good music and lighting, and he cites Ralph Lauren as a source of creative envy. He prefers marble over concrete, townhouses over high-rises, and dark over light.
