Scottish Museums Federation Treasurer Reflects on Nine-Year Role and Career

Elinor Clark, a museum professional based in Ayr, has served as Treasurer of the Scottish Museums Federation for approximately nine years. She began her museum career as a student volunteer at the Hunterian Museum in the late 1980s and later joined the Federation, possibly while studying Museum/Galleries Studies at St Andrews. Clark assumed the Treasurer position after volunteering at the 2014 conference held at The Hunterian Art Gallery in Glasgow. Her responsibilities include managing bank accounts, processing payments for conferences and membership fees, and presenting financial reports at annual meetings. She notes the Federation helped her connect with colleagues across Scotland's museum sector. Clark is now stepping down from the role and the organization is seeking a new Treasurer.
