São Paulo's Casa Líquida Institute Opens Applications for Second Flutuantes Artist Residency
The Instituto Casa Líquida has announced an open call for its second Flutuantes artist residency program, targeting emerging creators aged 19 to 23. This free initiative, supported by federal cultural incentive legislation, will take place in person at the institute's São Paulo location from May 15 to July 17, 2026, featuring weekly four-hour sessions. Designed as a formative and communal space, the residency aims to strengthen creative processes through peer exchange and direct engagement with cultural professionals. The program welcomes diverse artistic disciplines including visual arts, theater, dance, music, film, literature, photography, performance, and hybrid practices, with specific accommodations for participants with hearing or visual impairments or autism spectrum disorder. Fifteen participants will be selected through an application process running from March 2 to April 5, 2026, with online interviews scheduled for mid-April and final results announced on April 22.
