São Paulo Residence Transformed into Hybrid Culinary and Creative Space by Architect Nádia Manssur

Architect Nádia Manssur of NMDM.ARQ has completed a renovation project in São Paulo's Pinheiros neighborhood, converting a former residential building into a multifunctional venue called Ateliê Gio Cocina. Completed in 2025, the 300-square-meter space was designed for a chef whose practice integrates high-end cuisine, artisanal production, and partnerships with major brands. The transformation creates a hybrid environment that combines an industrial kitchen, creative studio, and event space within a single structure. The project involved multiple engineering and consulting firms, including CZN Engenharia Ltda for electrical systems, Reka Iluminação for lighting design, and Tetos Cunha Estruturas Metálicas for structural engineering. Photography was documented by Maíra Acayaba, and the project was curated by Susanna Moreira. Various suppliers contributed to the execution, including Aalvo Gallery, Inovar Esquadrias de Alumínio, and The Noguchi Museum Shop. This architectural intervention represents a growing trend of adaptive reuse in urban settings, repurposing existing structures for contemporary commercial and creative purposes.
