Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Collection Makes U.S. Debut at UC Davis Museum

The Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art at the University of California, Davis, will present 'Through Their Eyes,' the first U.S. exhibition of works from the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Collection. Running from January 26 to June 22, 2025, the show features 60 pieces by 30 international female artists across multiple generations and mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture, and video. Curated by Susie Kantor, the exhibition is organized into six thematic sections exploring identity construction through gender and sexuality. Museum director Rachel Teagle expressed enthusiasm for hosting the collection's American premiere, while collector Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo noted the museum's alignment with her educational values. Sandretto Re Rebaudengo will receive the Margrit Mondavi Arts Medallion on January 25, 2025, in recognition of her contributions to contemporary art.
