Joni Kamlet, a registered veterinary technician in San Francisco, has formed an unusual daily ritual with neighborhood crows that land on her head. After observing a neighbor's interaction with crows, she began bringing cashews and peanuts on her 3-4 mile walks, leaving them on fences and trash cans to gain the birds' trust. Within two months, the first crow landed on her head, initiating what she calls a 'crowmance.' The crows now bring her gifts like quarters and ceramic pieces.
