San Antonio's 'The Things We Carry' exhibition reflects 40 years of community art resilience
From March 5 to March 18, 2026, Un Grito Gallery presented 'The Things We Carry,' featuring works by eight talented artists curated by Casie Lomeli and Leslie Moody Castro. This exhibition was part of the Perennial series during Contemporary Art Month, commemorating the 40th anniversary of a pivotal alternative exhibition from 1987, which followed the San Antonio Museum of Art's withdrawal of support for a local event.
