S(t)uoni Art Residency Brings Contemporary Art to the Sannio Apennines
The S(t)uoni Art Residency initiative, taking place in Castelpoto within the Sannio Apennines, is scheduled from July 2025 to June 2026. It is curated by Leandro Pisano and organized by Associazione Culturale Interzona in collaboration with the Comune di Castelpoto, under Mayor Vito Fusco's leadership. Supported by PNRR for cultural revitalization, this project expands on Interzona's research in rural Campania. Notable residencies feature Gil Delindro's 'Lava Lavra', 'Retabolo della memoria e dei suoi silenzi' by Giusy Checola and Edgar Endress, and the ongoing 'Panchine Sonore' by Antje Greie-Ripatti/AGF, Enrico Coniglio, and Flavia Massimo. Additional contributions include Giacomo Por's 'Alfabeto' and Giovanni Gaggia's 'In tondo nello spazio'. The initiative has also produced podcasts, a documentary by Antonello Carbone, and collaborated with the University of Salerno's DiCuS lab. The final assessment revealed a disconnect between the experiences of residents and the language used by funders to describe their impact.
