Russian Missiles Kill Six on Turkish-Owned Grain Ship Near Odesa

Ukraine's navy reported that six people died when Russian cruise missiles struck the Turkish-owned cargo ship Golden Leo, which was carrying grain and flying the flag of Guinea-Bissau. The attack occurred as the vessel was leaving the combat zone near Odesa. Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga stated that the crew included citizens of Syria and India, and confirmed a Ukrainian maritime pilot was killed. Prime Minister Sergiy Koretsky said the ship was hit after leaving port. Transport Minister Mykola Kalashnyk announced on Telegram that eight crew members were rescued, two injured, six confirmed dead, and four missing. Sybiga condemned the attack as part of Russia's ongoing campaign of terror, noting it followed a brutal overnight assault on Kyiv.
