Rusicka and Lecnim's Foksal Gallery exhibition reinterprets a socialist-era neon sign and spatial art traditions.

On March 21, 2026, Irmina Rusicka and Kasper Lecnim will unveil their exhibition titled 'Not Only Flowers Will Grow' at the Foksal Gallery in Warsaw. Curated by Katarzyna Krysiak alongside Zuzanna Mielczarek, this exhibition takes cues from a neon sign dating back to the 1950s from Warsaw's Central Department Store. The artists incorporate industrial and recycled materials to craft temporary structures that evoke archaeological finds, harmonizing with the gallery's design. The project also pays homage to Edward Krasiński's 1966 installations, captured by Eustachy Kossakowski. Rusicka, a recipient of the Trójka Talent Award in 2018, has displayed her work at Zachęta and the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, while Lecnim, an alumnus of the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy, has exhibited at Gdańsk City Gallery.
